UCHealth Memorial Hospital Foundation’s 14th Annual Gala, “The Many Faces of Neurosciences” raised over $277,000 to support innovation, technology and patients in the neurosciences at UCHealth Memorial Hospital.

Despite the spring blizzard, nearly 500 guests spent the evening at the Broadmoor celebrating UCHealth Memorial Hospital’s patients and incredibly accomplished team of neurologists and neurosurgeons, who are on the forefront of their respective fields—reducing stroke treatment times, providing life-saving efforts to patients with Traumatic Brain Injury and utilizing groundbreaking procedures like Deep Brain Stimulation to drastically change the landscape of movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease.

The evening’s celebrity auctioneers, Dr. David Corry and Dr. David Rosenbaum, along with Associate Chief Nursing Officer, Tamera Dunseth-Rosenbaum entertained the crowd and provided an overview of the neurosciences at UCHealth Memorial Hospital, noting the recent designation by the Joint Commission as a Certified Primary Stroke Center and UCHealth Memorial Hospital’s Deep Brain Stimulation program—the only one of its kind in Southern Colorado.Dr. Patrick O. Faricy, retired Chief Medical Officer for UCHealth Memorial Hospital was the grand honoree of the evening, and was lauded by both hospital staff and community members alike.
