Circle of Hope Fund

Cancer is one of the most expensive medical conditions to treat in the United States.  Cancer patients with health insurance are paying higher premiums than in the past. They are also paying more for copayments, deductibles, and coinsurance.

Patients and thier families may face the following challenges because of thier cancer diagnosis:

  • Decrease in income and assets
  • Increased debt
  • Difficulty paying for housing, food and bills
  • Bankruptcy

“It is incredible to witness how the Circle of Hope positively impacts our patients.  Families are facing unprecedented financial challenges.  The support that the Circle of Hope Fund provides is crucial; it also speaks volumes to our patients about UCHealth and the communities commitment to their wellbeing.”

By contributing to Circle of Hope, your gift provides crucial financial support to our patients, making a profound difference during their challenging journey.

100% of your gift to Circle of Hope reaches our patients and their families.

In response to the financial burden many of our patients experience, Memorial Hospital established the Circle of Hope Fund.  This program provides cancer patients with direct financial assistance to offset the costs of the disease. Cancer survivors and their families need temporary financial support to help them mitigate the out-of-pocket costs, as well as the unpaid time off work.

In 2022 we provided  275 patients and their families with more than $134,000 in assistance. This represents a 31% increase in need from 2021.

We serve patients with more than 30 types of cancer, this represents the seven most commonly supported through the Circle of Hope fund.
